San Antonio on high alert for pink cocaine, a new drug with deadly risks
Officials from the Drug Enforcement Administration are alerting the public to a new drug with potentially lethal side effects, which has already entered Texas. Abigail Moore, CEO of the San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Awareness (SACADA), is especially concerned about its appeal to young people.
“Drugs are often presented in bright colors and unique designs specifically to catch the attention of young people. “The novelty of experimenting with substances is dangerous; for young people and adults alike, it’s like playing Russian roulette—you don’t know what you’re getting.”
