Are you interested in becoming a Professional Recovery Coach? Our Recovery Support Peer Specialist (RSPS) training will equip you with the necessary skills to become an invaluable asset in your profession and your organization. At the San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Awareness (SACADA), we facilitate a reputable program that is cost-effective and recognized in the industry by leading professionals. SACADA is an approved training entity in San Antonio by the Texas Certification Board.
You MUST have “lived experience” and 18 months in recovery to take this course. We will look to verify this when you register.
Training consists of 2 courses:

First is CORE Training, a 3-Day, 24 hour course.

Then a set of Recovery Support Peer Specialist Training Courses (RSPS), a 6-Day, 40 hour course.
We offer this course on a quarterly basis, here are the upcoming set of dates for each:
Due to COVID, we have moved to a virtual classroom via Zoom. For the safety of our participants and staff, the course will continue to be held virtual until further notice.
Participant must have a computer or phone with a working camera, microphone and access to wifi in order to successfully complete the class.
Total training cost is $450. Payment must be made 3 weeks prior to the course date you choose. All sales are final with purchase of class. Participants must apply, get accepted, and pay in advance before the first day of class. SACADA accepts cash and credit card.
