MINOR IN POSSESSION CLASSES (MIP)

The Alcohol Awareness (MIP) The Council offers state mandated classes as a result of a ticket/charge for youth who are caught using alcohol or tobacco. The Minor in Possession of Alcohol and the Minor in Possession of Tobacco are both offered on a monthly basis at the Council to ensure that youth comply with this requirement by the court. The Alcohol Awareness course is a 6 hour course taught in 2 sessions. We have state-certified instructors and flexible evening classes to guarantee youth success. If this course is not completed their driver’s license will be suspended or the youth will not be allowed to obtain a license.
