Prescription Drug Misuse Prevention Town Hall

Non-medical use of prescription drugs has become a public health problem in Texas and across the nation. NMUPD may occur in people who need painkillers, sedatives, or stimulants to treat a medical condition and can lead to addiction, overdose, and death.

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission, in collaboration with Circles of San Antonio Community Coalition, Prevention Resource Center, Region 8, and the San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, will host a Town Hall on July 18, 2017, to discuss suggested best practices and solutions to prevent NMUPD.
